Your adventure starts when you leave the dock aboard the Water Wolf III, a well maintained and equipped Shoalwater 21 Cat.  As we leave the dock the beauty of the shallow bays and flats unfold as the sun transforms the gray half-light of dawn into a miraculous display of color that defies description.  The water, reefs, shorelines, and birds create a magical paradise for your adventure.  We will catch some fish, experience the wonders of the flats, have a lot of fun, and hopefully create memories that will last a lifetime.

Aside from an adventure and having fun, the idea of a fishing trip is to catch some fish ( a lot of them).  We have made live bait fishing a specialty and day in and day out the live bait method seems to be the most productive.  We use this method while fishing from the boat, which allows us to not only fish the flats but deep-water reefs as well.  Live bait is not the only method and we really applaud anyone who is up to the artificial bait challenge.  Should you choose to use the artificial bait method we will spend the day fishing for Trout and Redfish. We can also accommodate the wade fisherman.  Whatever your preference, we will make every effort to insure your trip will be a memorable adventure.

What we provide

We provide everything needed for a memorable fishing adventure.  From the knowledge and expertise to the Rods, Reels, Bait, or Lures, along with ice and ice chest for your food and drinks.  At the end of the day your fish will be cleaned and packaged for your trip home.

You are encouraged bring your own favorite Rod and Reel.
Please make sure it is in good condition and is spooled with fresh, quality line. 12lb mono or 30lb braid is about right. The rods and reels that we furnish are some of the best.  We buy the equipment we use instead of using "freebies" from a sponsor.  This leaves us free to use what we think is the best.  If we wouldn't use it as our personal rod it won't be on the boat.  We have chosen to use H&H Rods, Shimano reels, and Suffix line.  We think these are the best of the best, and they are rigged with the very best fluorocarbon leaders and premium hooks, usually Daiichi or Gamakatsu.

What you provide

You will need to bring a current Texas fishing license with a saltwater stamp, your favorite sunscreen, a hat or cap (a hat will help prevent painful red ear), your lunch and something to drink (water works best).  One of the most important things you will need is a pair of quality-polarized sunglasses.  Amber or gray seems to work well on the flats, and the polarization brings out the detail and wonders of the flats.

Please avoid Black Soled Shoes!
The removal of black marks on the deck, left by black soled shoes,
usually causes the captain to froth at the mouth and utter some really ugly sounds.

Drinking on the boat:

Beer is OK hard liquor is not. Should any one in the party become intoxicated
to the point of being a problem, the captain, at his sole discretion may end the trip and then
everyone goes back to the dock. In all honesty the time for an adult beverage is after
the trip while savering the memories of a great  fishing adventure.
